The Fourth Bishop of Utah, the Rt. Rev. Paul Jones is the only Utahn to have an Episcopal Church Feast Day (Sept. 4th) He was born on January 28, 1880, and died September 4, 1941, Bishop Jones was once forced to resign as the Bishop of Utah because he was a pacifist advocating and publicly calling for peace instead of joining a nation wanting to enter World War One. Later, the Episcopal Church reconciled his dedication to his beliefs concerning peace and gave him back a seat in the House of Bishops and in 1969, a Feast Day. We honor him as both our Bishop and the Vicar of St. John’s, Logan. To learn more about Bishop Paul Jones, head to this link for the full video.
