Bishop Phyllis Spiegel finds the task of performing baptisms among the greatest joy in ministry. That joy was magnified time after time on May 12th as nine young people and adults were brought into the community of Christians through baptism. The festive baptism services took place in the historic churches of St. Elizabeth’s in Whiterocks and Holy Spirit in Randlett. Both churches have served the greater Uintah Basin for over 125 years. The packed churches featured both the new members of several Ute Elders who have been faithful participants in the ministry. The Bishop joined The Rev. Michael Carney, who is the Vicar of both congregations.
