The Nominating/Search Committee for our 12th Episcopal Bishop of Utah is very pleased and excited to announce that the Profile of the Episcopal Diocese of Utah is now online! To view the Diocesan Profile 2021, please go to: https://utahbishopsearch.org/wp-content/uploads/Diocese-of-Utah-Profile-2021.pdf. You can also access this from the link on our website: utahbishopsearch.org. As a reminder, the purpose of our Profile is to introduce potential applicants to the Diocese of Utah and invite them to consider making an application. While we are grateful to the Standing Committee for their supervision and approval, most of the content is based on the information and feedback we received from members of the Diocese through our online Survey and through “in-person” (via Zoom) Focus Groups that were open to all. Thank you!
What happens now in the Search Process? Potential candidates, if feeling a sense of call, can apply by email (see Page 28 of the Profile for application information) from now through Wednesday, August 18, 7:00 p.m. (MDT) when nominations/applications close. How can you help? Please post the Profile link on all your social media accounts and personally contact any Episcopal clergy person whom you think has the potential to become our 12th Bishop of Utah. Let them know that the Profile is currently available online and completed nominations/applications (which must contain all required elements in order to be considered) are being received until Wednesday, August 18, 7:00 p.m. (MDT). The Diocesan Profile 2021 highlights the positive accomplishments of Bishop Hayashi so that candidates will be applying to lead a Diocese that is in a good place (although the challenges we face are also frankly discussed). The Nominating Committee is proud of our Diocese and feels that the Diocesan Profile 2021 is a balanced portrayal of who we are and the progress we are making. Please help spread the word
