The Episcopal Churches of Utah at Pride 2025
Pride is more than a month of celebration – it’s part of our core mission.
This June, the Episcopal Diocese of Utah is proud to show up for Pride Month with joy, clarity, and commitment. We’re excited to march in the Salt Lake City Pride Parade on Sunday, June 8 and to host a visible, welcoming booth at the Utah Pride Festival in Washington Square both Saturday and Sunday.
We always make it a point to be present—because presence matters. This year we are marching with the slogan “God Loves You Fully, Fiercely, Forever” to demonstrate that your path to happiness overlaps with the growing of your faith.
The Episcopal Church of Utah believes all are welcome at Christ’s table—and all are called to serve. We embrace the full diversity of God’s creation, including queerness, questioning, and the sacred journey of becoming. Many in our community arrived carrying stories of exclusion or silence. Here, they’ve discovered a different narrative—one of belonging, dignity, and grace. Here, they’ve found home.
LGBTQ+ Ministry in Action
Showing up is part of who we are as followers of Jesus. Pride Month isn’t just a celebration—it’s a time to stand with LGBTQ+ people in love, solidarity, and action.
We listen, we bless, we advocate. This year, we’re doing it alongside the mobile ministry RV—a traveling signpost of compassion, designed to connect people across Utah with the Episcopal Church’s message of radical welcome.
We’re not just there to say welcome. We’re there to mean it.
We’re proud to have LGBTQ+ clergy and lay leaders in congregations throughout Utah— ready to offer spiritual care, connection, and practical support. We don’t just talk about inclusion; we live it.
The Bishop’s Mobile Ministry RV brings our message of radical welcome right into the heart of Pride.
Marching with the Banner
Walking together beneath the diocesan Pride banner is a public proclamation that God’s love is fully, fiercely, and forever for everyone.
Our presence in the streets is a visible promise to LGBTQ+ youth, elders, families, and allies that the Episcopal Church of Utah is a spiritual home where they are seen, named, and cherished.
A Bishop on the Move
Our bishop doesn’t just bless the parade from the sidelines—she joins the movement, running alongside the crowd with delight and determination.
Her joyful energy mirrors our diocesan commitment: to move toward places of hurt and exclusion with courage, humor, and hope.
Advocacy Is Our Identity
From our reimagined diocesan identity to grassroots presence across the state, we are proclaiming a Church that is open to all, without exception.
This Pride Month, and every month, we show up—not just with words, but with witness. With compassion. With courage. Because love—real, fierce, healing love—belongs in the streets, in our parishes, and in every part of public life.
